Meet Flissy, she is a senior this year.
She got in touch with us back in the summer to organise her Senior Portrait Photo session. We meet Flissy’s older sister last year while photographing her portrait shoot. It was so lovely to catch up with the mum Michelle and meet and get to know Flissy. During the pre consultation, Flissy mentioned she really wanted to do the session around Arab Street as she was looking for bright colours and a urban feel to her photographs. This area is a firm favourite of ours for family sessions with teens or old kids, the location is perfect, with awesome colours, great light and is often quiet first thing in the morning.
At the Singapore American School each year the Senior’s put together an incredible yearbook full of memories of the school, teachers and classmates. Each of the senior’s have to submit one portrait photograph and some text about themselves. These images are then printed along with class photos, the teachers photo and images of the school. As you can imagine choosing one image to have printed in the yearbook is a big decision and daunting exercise.
We love photographing the senior portrait sessions and having the freedom to be creative, try new ideas and have fun whilst capturing the seniors individual personality. We understand how important these photos are to the seniors and how these images are left in history as a visual reminder of who these wonderful people are.
