It’s always fun and exciting to explore a new location for children in Singapore, especially when you know that the winning team from Blue House is behind it. As a long-standing partner, we were invited to go along to their brand new Infant & Toddler Atelier at UE Square.
The new atelier takes advantage of natural light, and offers the perfect surroundings to safely explore, in keeping with their ethos of “creating a natural and purposeful environment that provokes, challenges and inspires.”
This kind of location was a joy to work in – sun light plus light tables and amazing transparent coloured shapes made for these beautiful photographs of children deep in thought and wonder.
Shona Sanosi, Owner and Director of Research and Development at Blue House Nursery & International Preschool, says “There is such power in the word wonder. Wonder is to think, to be surprised, to question, to challenge.” This ‘wonder’ can be seen in many of the photographs that we were able to capture, naturally.
We had fun watching the children as they discovered the Reggio Emilia approach to learning hands on with light, songs & music, activities and open-ended materials which are designed to intrigue a child’s natural curiosity.
Congratulations to Shona, and her team, who are proud of their work here in Singapore over the last 7 years.
