Cake Smash – two words that sound like serious fun!

There’s something really adorable about cake smash photos, you can’t help but smile seeing a baby squish and squash a beautifully decorated cake. The cake smash is traditionally done for the first birthday and the gorgeous images are used on the birthday invitations. However, there are no hard and fast rules, it can be applied to any age as long as the enthusiasm is their. As photographers we just love to shoot cake smash portraits, we all have an absolute ball and each baby is so different in their approach and reaction. In our cake smash session we simply sit the baby down in front of the cake and wait for the magic to happen before our lenses.

It doesn’t take long before the whole cake is demolished and our baby is beside themselves with giggles and proud smiles of accomplishment. To make it super easy for Mum and Dad we will provide the cake which can be colour co-ordinated to suit the gender and a free acrylic photo block with your favourite image. We recommend that you have the photo shoot just before the baby turns one so that you can put the photo block next to the birthday cake on the actual party / celebration day as a reminder of the beautiful moment when your little ones turns the big 1! Newborn Photography

Happy Easter everyone! We hope you have a lovely long weekend ahead.

Looking at my kids the other day busy with some Easter DIY craft project, I was trying to remember what they looked like when they were just born. Those tiny little fingers and toes, those adorable yawns and utterly soft velvety skin. And the scent of a newborn when just out of their bath… do I need to say more…

We can’t catch this delicious baby fragrance, but luckily I have lots of newborn photographs of my precious little ones to bring back those special moments. My children are now 7, 10, 13 and with birthdays in the next few months they’ll be one year old. It’s scary how time flies by.

Don’t be too late and capture those moments so that they’ll become memories that will take you back to those happy days. No matter, how much you would want to, your newborn isn’t going to stay that adorable, tiny, soft, delicious smelling creature! They constantly change and keep growing.

We have a spring in our step this week – Easter is fast approaching and we are off to the Expat Living Readers Awards 2015 tonight to collect our certificate for being a runner up in the ‘Best Family Photography’ category. It’s lovely to know that our clients and families think we’re one of Singapore best Professional Photographer.
