The team are feeling very excited about Christmas and will be taking a well deserved break from the studio after an extremely busy two months of family portrait photography sessions. We have photographed little Elfs, Santa’s and even a little Reindeer.

I always love this time of year as everyone is relaxed and in a excited festive mood. We have been playing Christmas tunes, serving mince pies and even have the smell of the pine filling the studio!

All the children I have photographed have been buzzing with excitement full of giggles all mixed together with the magic of Christmas.

I feel very blessed to have a job which gives such joy to people and love the thought of people opening their littleones photography gifts on Christmas day around the world.

Wishing all my big and little clients a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2013.

Over the last few months we have seen a baby boom in Singapore and had the wonderful pleasure of photographing many pregnancy bumps and newborn babies in the studio. In fact it was very hard for me to choose which family and baby to blog about. However a choice had to be made and here they are showcasing their beautiful baby boy!

This lovely couple came into the studio for a pregnancy photography session not realizing the baby would be born the next day! So they were really pleased to have got their bump pictures recorded as a memory just in time!

We had a great time in the studio doing the maternity photos and they were happy for me to suggest some fun ways to capture their special time. And of course I was really excited to do the newborn photography session as I simply love my cuddles with tiny babies! We were lucky enough during the shoot to photograph the baby awake so I got some beautiful photographs showing off his big brown eyes. They were simply divine.

I love being part of this moment in new parents lives watching the love and emotions for their newborn baby. A love, I know as a mother of three, that is instantaneous and so precious. This is what I want to capture in the photography session and for this to come out in my photographs. I love to create timeless black and white photographs during this newborn session as I feel they show that pure emotion  so well. Plus they always look classic and timeless even after 20 years when they are all grown up.

So this Christmas in Singapore there will be many ‘baby’s 1st Christmases’ happening and I am happy that my photographs will be filling some stockings this year across the world! The perfect gift.

Wishing all my new Mums and Dads a very Happy Christmas time with their new babies.

This week we had the Survival Chic team in the studio for a corporate studio session with a twist. The team came into the studio on Monday morning and not only did they bring their outfits and props but a huge amount of sparkle, creativity and enthusiasm. The team had obviously spent a lot of time thinking about their photography session and had a clear idea of the kind of images they wanted to create to show their professional but also fun side. These images give a great insight into the spirit of Survival Chic -take a look at this dynamic fun and interesting team of lifestyle specialists!

I think the images highlight the true ethos of Survival Chic. For anyone that isn’t a member, Survival Chic is the go to place for insider tips on Singapore’s best food, wine, art and leisure events in Singapore. Check out the website www.survivalchic.com

It’s lovely to be able to work with people that want to be creative and move away from the typical boundaries of the standard and sometimes stuffy corporate portrait images. Of course you have to have a professional photograph but now-a-days people want to have a bit more fun with the images to portray themselves as unique, fun and interesting. We had a great time photographing the team and are extremely pleased with the final design images. How often can you get guys to wear feather bowers!!

Childrens Family Portrait Photographer Singapore

I have been photographing this lovely family since the birth of their first child. They now have three beautiful children and I’ve had the pleasure to take each of the children’s portraits.

This family was one of my first clients when I came to Singapore and set up the portrait studio five years ago and the family has been coming back into the studio every 3-6 months. I’ve been lucky enough to be part of this family’s growing life and the special newborn moments.

It’s amazing to find someone who loves photography and understands the importance of having your family and children portraits updated regularly. I love it when my clients return to the studio for another photography session as I get to meet the new member of the family or get to see how big the children have grown. The children now know me well enough and feel very comfortable in the studio and look forward to their next photo session. Meanwhile I am looking forward to meeting and photographing baby number 4’s newborn portraits!

It’s true what they say…girls just wanna have fun! These pictures are taken from a fabulous family portrait photography shoot we did in the Studio this week with a mum and her 3 gorgeous daughters! The girls came fully prepared with plenty of fun accessories…hats, bags, scarves and, living in Singapore, of course their sunglasses! With fun fashion and colourful accessories, plenty of enthusiasm and a great sense of humour we all had a fantastic time!

Long gone are the days where a family portrait means a rather formal looking photograph. I aim to capture real emotion and character in my photos and these images capture their personalities and personal style perfectly! We had great fun photographing this family and judging by these photographs they had a great time too!

Top Tip – When searching for a family portrait photographer call and speak to them or even better pop in to the Studio and meet them first. In order to capture those perfect pictures you and your children need to be at ease with the photographer taking your photograph.
